In one paragraph. tended collects what it needs to build, host and look after your website and to produce your reports: your contact details, your business information, what you upload, and the public facts about your business that anyone can read online. It does not sell personal information. Card details go to Stripe and never touch tended's systems. You can ask to see or delete what tended holds at any time.
1. Who is responsible
tended, a web studio based in Las Vegas, Nevada, operated by Jose Marquez Alberti, is responsible for the personal information described here. Contact: hello@tended.site.
2. What tended collects
- Account details: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, your business name and address, and a password stored only as a salted hash.
- Business content: the text, photos, videos, product data and instructions you send for your site, and the changes you approve.
- Public information about your business: your existing website, your Google Business Profile as shown publicly (rating, review counts, hours, category), listings on public directories, and the answers of search engines and AI assistants to questions about businesses in your area. This is read the way any visitor could read it.
- Payment records: Stripe processes card payments and shares with tended the payment status, amount, date and the last four digits of the card. tended never receives your full card number.
- Service records: emails you exchange with tended, sign-in times, and technical logs from the server that hosts your site (IP address, page requested, time) kept for security and troubleshooting.
- Site visitors: tended's hosted sites do not use advertising trackers. Standard server logs record requests for security and for the monthly report's counts of calls, directions and searches; those counts are aggregates, not profiles of individuals.
3. Why, and on what basis
- To provide what you asked for: previews, reports, the build, hosting, edits and monthly reports (performance of a contract).
- To bill you and keep accounting records (legal obligation).
- To keep tended's systems secure and to prevent abuse (legitimate interest).
- To contact a business about a preview built from its public information; you can decline further contact by replying "no", and tended will not write again (legitimate interest, with an opt-out that is always honoured).
4. Cookies and local storage
tended.site and the client portal use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a small local-storage entry to remember your language choice. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set. Sites tended hosts for clients use the same approach unless a feature the client asks for requires more, in which case that site's own notice says so.
5. Who tended shares information with
- Stripe for payments.
- Resend for sending email from tended's addresses.
- Hosting providers for the servers that run tended's portal and hosted sites (currently in the United States).
- Google (PageSpeed, Maps and Fonts), OpenAI, Perplexity and Google Gemini when producing reports, where the only information sent is the public business name, address and the questions asked about businesses in the area.
- Domain and platform providers you already use, only to the extent you connect them.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
tended does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context advertising.
6. How long tended keeps it
Account and business content is kept while you have an account or a plan, and deleted within 90 days after the plan ends unless the law requires longer (accounting records are kept for the period tax law requires). Reports are kept so that a later run can be compared with them; ask and yours is deleted. Server logs are kept for 30 days. Previews built for businesses that never respond are deleted within 90 days.
7. Security
Connections to tended's sites and portal are encrypted. Passwords are hashed. Access to servers is by key, not password. No system is perfectly secure; if tended learns of a breach affecting your information it will tell you without undue delay.
8. Your choices and rights
Email hello@tended.site to see the information tended holds about you, correct it, receive a copy, or have it deleted. tended responds within 30 days. Nevada residents may also direct tended not to sell their covered information; tended does not sell it in any case. If you are outside the United States, you have the rights your local law provides, and tended will honour them.
9. Children
tended's services are for businesses and are not directed at anyone under 18. tended does not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes, and clients are told by email if the change affects how their information is used.
